Porter's story
When Porter Lyons’ heart started racing, he was rushed to our ER. Emergency specialist Dr. Brian Adams had just undergone advanced training on our new portable ultrasound machine, which revealed a life-threatening problem in Porter’s heart. Part of the heart was so enlarged, it wasn’t pumping properly.
We stabilized Porter and life-flighted him to a heart center for an emergency heart transplant. “I’m really thankful for everything Dr. Adams did,” said Porter. “I’m alive today thanks to Robinson Memorial.”
