On April 25, the Registered nurses at Robinson Memorial Hospital hosted the 20th Annual Nursing Research Day, “Celebrating Nursing Research.” This is one of the longest running research conferences in Northeastern Ohio.
Ninety nurses attended the event, including staff nurses, student nurses, faculty, and administrators representing 14 institutions across Ohio and neighboring states.
Throughout the day, five breakout sessions were held covering a wide variety of topics related to nursing practice and improving patient care.
Twenty-four peer-reviewed posters were exhibited along the halls of the hospital, including three projects by Robinson Memorial Hospital nurses. These projects all reflect the effort of nurses working to improve the lives of patients like improving stroke recognition, helping monitor symptoms in patients with lung cancer, and reducing noise on nursing units.
