Due to increased influenza activity in the community the following ARHA hospitals are restricting visitation in order to provide additional protection to the patients. Hospitals frequently enact visitation restrictions each year during influenza season.
Affinity Medical Center, Akron Children’s Hospital, Akron General Edwin Shaw Hospital, Akron General Medical Center, Akron General Lodi Community Hospital, Alliance Community Hospital*, Aultman Hospital, Aultman Acute Care Specialty Hospital, Medina Hospital (a Cleveland Clinic Hospital,) Mercy Medical Center, Regency Barberton Hospital, Regency Ravenna Hospital, Robinson Memorial Hospital, Select Specialty Akron Hospital, Select Specialty Canton Hospital, Summa Akron City Hospital, Summa Barberton Hospital, Summa Rehab Hospital, Summa St. Thomas Hospital, Summa Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital and Summa Western Reserve Hospital.
The Restricted Visitation Guidelines are as follows:
RESTRICTED VISITATION TO PROTECT OUR PATIENTS FROM INFLUENZA
Until further notice, please adhere to the following visitation policy:
1. Visitation is limited to healthy visitors.
2. For the safety of children and patients, children are discouraged from visiting. Robinson Memorial Hospital is limiting visitation to healthy visitors who are 14 years of age or older.
3. Standard visitation policy is two (2) visitors per patient.
4. DO NOT visit patients if you are ill or are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Cough
- Chills
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Muscle aches
- Sore throat
- Vomiting
The Akron Regional Hospital Association (ARHA) was created in 1936 to work on behalf of its members through the coordination of services that assist hospitals in meeting and improving the healthcare needs of the communities they serve.
*Alliance Community Hospital is not a member of ARHA but is restricting visitors.
