Foundation Awards Nursing Scholarships

|The Robinson Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the award of 11 nursing scholarships to employees of Robinson Memorial Hospital and Robinson Health Affiliates, Inc. pursing a nursing career.
Recipients of the Katherine Pangallo Nursing Scholarships are Aimee Corley, Marcy Gonczy, Edward Morgan, Joel Peddle, Jessica Petrone and Danielle Vannoy.
Recipients of the KeyBank Nursing Scholarships are Lori Feick, Kimberly O’Shields, and Sherry Zents.
Recipients of the Dr. Fu-Shan Lin Nursing Scholarships are Rebecca Knapp and Laura Schiele.
Aimee Corley, of Kent, has been a surgical technologist at Robinson Memorial since 2006. She is pursuing an associate degree in nursing at Kent State Geauga, Twinsburg Academic Center.
Lori Feick, of Akron, has been a licensed practical nurse with Robinson Visiting Nurse and Hospice since 2012. She is enrolled in the associate degree online nursing program at Excelsior College, Albany, NY.
Marcy Gonczy, of Mantua, has been a registered nurse on the step down unit of Robinson Memorial since 2000. She is in the online Bachelor of Science in nursing program through Kaplan University.
Rebecca Knapp, of Atwater, has been a patient care technician at Robinson Memorial since March 2013 and was previously a registration clerk at the hospital. She is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science nursing program at Kent State University.
Edward Morgan, of Ravenna, has been a patient care assistant at Robinson Memorial since 2009. He is pursuing a registered nursing degree at Kent State Geauga, Twinsburg Academic Center.
Kimberly O’Shields, of Kent, has been a registration clerk at Robinson Memorial since 2010 and is pursuing a registered nursing degree from Kent State Trumbull.
Joel Peddle, of Rootstown, is a patient care technician in the emergency department at Robinson Memorial. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Kent State University.
Jessica Petrone, of Ravenna, has been a file clerk at Portage Internal Medicine since 2006. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Kent State University.
Laura Schiele, of Atwater, is has been a patient care technician in the emergency department at Robinson Memorial since 2009. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree at Kent State Stark.
Danielle Vannoy, of Mantua, has been a staff nurse at Robinson Memorial since 2007. She is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in nursing program through the University of Phoenix online program.
Sherry Zents, of Berlin Center, has been a nurse manager in the oncology unit at Robinson Memorial since 2006. She is pursuing a Master of Science in nursing degree in the online program of Chamberlain College of Nursing in Addison, IL.
The Pangallo, Lin and KeyBank Nursing Scholarships are intended to recognize Katherine Pangallo, long-time, excellent nurse at Robinson Memorial; and Dr. Fu-Shan Lin, a respected Robinson Memorial physician; to assist current employees in pursuit of a career in nursing; and to assist Robinson Memorial Hospital in its current and future efforts to recruit and retain kind and excellent nurses.
