More than 140 golfers from throughout Northeast Ohio participated in the Robinson Memorial Hospital Foundation’s 20th Annual “A Different Kind of Golf Outing” on July 16 at Windmill Lakes Golf Course in Ravenna.
The event raised a record $33,000 for the Foundation, which supports many services and patient care areas within Robinson Memorial Hospital. Since its inception, the golf outing has raised over $500,000.
Presenting sponsors for the event were Allen Aircraft Products, Altercare of Ohio, Aurora Manor and Woodlands of Robinson of the Saber Healthcare Group, and Inpatient Medical Services.
Tournament sponsors were The Burbick Foundation, Steve and Andrea Colecchi, and Dr. Robert Egdell.
Hole sponsors were AVI Food Systems, CornerStone Medical Services, Direction Home Area Agency on Aging, David Dix, Judge Joseph Giulitto, Northeast Ohio Medical University, Perspectus Architecture, Portage Community Bank, Portage Physical Therapists, Record-Courier(Gateway News, Aurora Advocate), Triangle Pharmacy and Compounding Center, and Bill White’s Twin Star and Akron Lanes.
Other signature sponsors included HoneyBaked Ham & Café in Streetsboro (Lunch Sponsor), Sydmor’s Jewelry in Ravenna (Hole In One Sponsor), and Bob Sumerel Tire in Ravenna (Golf Ball Sponsor). Many additional individuals and businesses participated by providing foursomes, cart sponsorships and prize donations.

Next year’s event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Windmill Lakes Golf Course.
