|The Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) recently recognized Robinson Memorial Hospital with a Group Award in their 2013 Statewide Hospital Safety Campaign.
OHA’s Safety Campaign is a program recognizing successful hospital safety programs and hospitals with superior employee safety records. The safety awards were created in 1953 by the OHA and the Industrial Commission of Ohio to promote workplace safety.
Hospitals participating in the campaign were required to submit data from their federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses form or the Ohio Department of Commerce Public Employment Risk Reduction Program (PERRP) form.
Hospitals were divided into groups based on number of employees. The hospital with the lowest injury rate in each group was honored. Robinson Memorial Hospital was recognized under the 1,001-1500 employee group.
“We are honored to receive this recognition from OHA," stated Stephen Colecchi, FACHE, president and CEO. “It demonstrates the hard work and dedication our employees have towards safety.”
